Daikento Shukokai Karate Club
Daikento Shukokai has been established in Darwen Lancashire since 2006 by its Instructors Anthony Slack & Paul Wareing, and was formally known as Blackburn Shukokai (etstablished 1970) when previousley based at Shadsworth Leisure Centre under the leadership of Michael Shuttleworth.
We are now located in the upstairs function room of Hollins Grove Conservative Club, Blackburn Road, Darwen Lancashire.
We are totally committed to achieving high standards within our Dojo, and except nothing less than 100% from all our younger and senior students.
Daikento Shukokai instructors offer over 45 years of experience in Shukokai Karate and currently offer training sessions for children and adults. Gradings / belts will only be given to students based on skill and achievement, not just attendence.
Daikento Shukokai is affiliated to the British Karate Association (BKA) & English Karate Federation (EKF), and all grades are registered. Rest assured that your achievements within our club will be worthy!
The club is totally non profit making, and all training fees are reinvested into the club ensuring that our students benefit from funds generated as a result of their training. With this in mind club licence fees, training fees and grading fees are minimised. Dont be fooled by commercially driven martial arts clubs. We guarantee you will receive some of the best martial arts instruction within the Region.
We have a fully matted Dojo to ensure the safety of all our students remains paramount.
